At SRA Law , we have always focused on helping the helpless. Now we must also focus on helping those that are losing their hope in a system and a government hell-bent on harm towards immigrants. After celebrating our law firm's 25th anniversary this year, we had to quickly begin moving towards a shelter in place work and school environments. While not easy, we've also had to continue to show up to courtrooms for hearings , depositions, and to meet filing deadlines on behalf of our clients. Staying home is simply not an option for us as without continuing this work, we wouldn't be able to pay our staff let alone keep up the fight for all of our clients, whether they are part of our pro-bono cases or not. Everyone deserves a chance at life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. While our law firm has the chance to apply for things like the Small Business Administration loan (SBA) , many of our clients will be left out of any sort of stimulus even though here in Texas they most definitely pay their taxes , and if given legal status would add an additional $2.8 Billion a year nationwide. Many questions on what the new normal will look like moving forward remain.
